Last weekend the Croatian Armed Forces presented itself, in Belgium Air Force Base in Koksijde, with the performance of "Wings of Storm" acrobatic group at the celebration of the 60th NATO anniversary and 30 years of operational use of F-16 aircraft in the Belgium Air Force.
Event was opened by Belgium Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Gerard Van Caelenberge in the presence of Belgium Defence Minister Pieter de Creme, and many senior civilian and military officials, including CAF Military Attaché in Belgium, Colonel Naser Cacoviæ, and the military representative of Croatia to NATO Major General Drago Lovric.
Representatives of 18 air forces participated in the program, out of which the largest number from NATO countries, and among best were programs of French "Patrouille de France" and "Cartouche Dore," Polish "Team Iskry" Jordan "Royal Jordanian Falcons", Moroccan "Marche Verte", and two groups from Denmark and Belgium. Also, attractive program of individual performance of Belgium and Dutch F-16, Hungarian Gripen, French Raffalle and Swiss F-18 provoked a great interest of visitors. With its perceived performance Croatian pilots received the praise of audiences and visitors, and in a respectable company of the world's leading air forces presented professionalism and competence of members of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence.
More than 80,000 visitors attended the attractive flaying program.
