25.01.2010. Exhibition of photographs "British and Croatian allied forces in the service of peace"
An exhibition of photographs titled "British and Croatian allied forces in the service of peace" was officially opened today in Europa Cinema in Zagreb. The exhibition was set up in the organization of the Ministry of Defence and the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Croatia, on occasion of the upcoming international conference on Afghanistan in London (January 28).    more>>
25.01.2010. CISCO Networking Academy opened at HVU
The first cycle of training in the newly opened CISCO Networking Academy, which will be attended by twelve participants of Ministry of Defence and Croatian Armed Forces, started on the “Petar Zrinski” Croatian Military Academy (HVU) on Monday, January 25.
It is training for the modern technology necessary for the functioning of communication-information systems, and academy within the system allows faster training of employees and a substantial saving of resources. There are two regional CISCO academies, at the CARNET and in the Defence Ministry, in which instructors for local academies are trained, such as this opened at the HVU.

25.01.2010. Employees of civilian structures in Afghanistan visited MOD
During her visit to the Republic of Croatia, Chairman of the Afghan Red Crescent Fatima Gailani, and project manager of Kabul Institute for War, Peace and Reporting Abaceen Nasimi visited on Monday, January 25, the Ministry of Defence. Two Afghan activists met representatives of the Croatian Armed Forces and MOD led by State Secretary Pjer Simunovic. The talks on the meeting were on current situation in Afghanistan, and so CAF and MOD employees who were in many ways involved in Croatian participation in the ISAF mission had a chance to familiarize with the work and experiences of Afghan activists.   more>>

21.10.2010. MOD at the 14th University Fair
Ministry of Defence presents high-school graduates and students scholarship programs at the 14th Fair of the University of Zagreb, which takes place from 21 to 23 January in the Student Centre in Zagreb. 33 faculties and academies of Zagreb University and forty polytechnics and colleges from Croatia and abroad have been represented on a three-day University Fair.   more>>
20.01.2010. Third CAF contingent left for KFOR mission in Kosovo
Third Croatian contingent of 20 members of the Croatian Armed Forces, mostly from the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence with two transport helicopters Mi-171-Sh, left for the NATO KFOR (Kosovo Force) peacekeeping operation in Kosovo, on Wednesday, January 20, for a period of four months.    more>>
